Tumet Industries LLC, hired Aaron Burmeister in November of 2009 as their General Manager to oversee all of their construction  and management operations.

Aaron has lived in rural Alaska for the past 35 years and has completed projects in Anchorage, Dutch Harbor/Unalaska, Kipnik, Bethel, Tooksook Bay, Chevak, Kotzebue, Nome, Unalakleet, Gambell, Stebbins and St. Michaels.  Most of the projects Aaron completed were as a Project Superintendent for QAP, where he was employed for 13 years prior to employment by Tumet Industries LLC.

Aaron’s responsibilities as General Manager include oversight of operations at the project site, including management of equipment, personnel, and subcontractors and to maintain the overall health of the Company.  Aaron oversees the hires of all craftsmen from the appropriate trades as well as employing local hires from the project community.  He negotiates contracts and monitors job performance.  Aaron is also responsible for meeting or exceeding requirements related to labor issues and meeting expectations for job performance.  Aaron has experience coordinating the mobilization, barging and air transport along with other tasks for many projects in rural Alaska. Aaron is comfortable working with the Village Corporations, Tribal Councils, and the local communities.  Aaron has been working in this region of Alaska for the last 17 years.

Tumet Industries, has built a great team with a lot of diversified experience in Civil Construction and working in remote areas of Alaska.  Tumet’s team members work well together and they are able to move mountains.  Tumet is looking forward to growing as a company within their means and taking on new challenges.
