Paul G. Kosto was originally retained as Tumet's first Project Manager in 2008, and was responsible  for the coordinated management of multiple projects for this new Tribally owned road construction company in Western Alaska.  At the request of the Board of Advisors, Mr. Kosto was promoted to position of Acting General Manager in the spring of 2009. Within the first 30 days as General Manger, Mr. Kosto negotiated and secured Tumet's first multi-million dollar contract while at the same time located, obtained financing, purchased, and arranged barging for 30 pieces of heavy road construction equipment, now the pride of Tumet's construction fleet.  Mr. Kosto encourages best practices in project management and project planning. He was responsible for recruiting, management, and career development of new project management staff. He developed project plans and assumed responsibility for all company profit and loss. Throughout his employment with Tumet, Mr. Kosto also works to develop and maintain Tumet’s participation in the SBA 8(a) program.
